DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar for the next edition of Bright Ideas   Planning & Zoning: Rockwall's Current & Future Development and what that means for business   on July 24th from 12:00 pm   1:00 pm\n\n\n\nOften a forgotten piece of city government by the average citizen\, the Planning & Zoning Commission is tasked with coordinating and improving the physical development of the City while ensuring the safety and welfare of the community through development review and long range planning that will promote orderly development and compatible uses of land. In short\, they make sure a warehouse isn't built next door to your house and that future businesses make provisions to minimize any negative impacts their business may have on surrounding areas. They take their recommendations to the City Council for final approval.\n\n\n\nJerry Welch\, Rockwall P&Z Commission Member will present some of the considerations that P&Z take into account when making recommendations\, what the City of Rockwall currently has in development and their vision of the future of development in Rockwall.\n\n \n\nThis event is a free perk for Chamber Partners and lunch is provided.
